The Crowdfund Camp is a project developed by Babajide Ipaye, CEO of KEEXS (The First Innovative and Social Footwear Brand in Africa) which was successfully launched through crowdfunding on Kickstarter in 2015.
The goal of creating this platform is to nurture and transform brilliant ideas into great business opportunities.
This platform is offering practical online trainings delivered by Babajide and in collaboration with other subject matter experts for a token. It is expected that proceeds from some of these courses will be invested in some of the most brilliant ideas emerging out of Africa.

“We the citizens need to take more individual and collective initiatives towards correcting some of our social issues (Economy & Society) rather than sitting around complaining and waiting for our leaders to solve everything
– Jide Ipaye

Hi, I’m Babajide Ipaye,
The CEO and Co-Founder of KEEXS, The First innovative and social footwear brand in Africa. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, I have a BSC in Microbiology from the University of Lagos, and 14 years of experience in technology and Strategy including having worked in Multinationals such as Guinness and Total and then running my own Technology service company which i successfully handed over the reins. With a shoe size to match my accomplishments, I struggled to find shoes to fit my European size 48 feet. This is how KEEXS was born; I decided to make my own shoes!
In order to achieve this, I recognised the importance of acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge to do so. So, I travelled to the Netherlands and I attended SLEM, an international innovation and training institute for footwear and leather industries, where I learned how to make sneakers from scratch. I then teamed up with my friend Moyosore Olowo to raise funds for this new venture, through a kickstarter crowdfunding campaign where we raised enough money to help bring this project to life.
I like to describe myself as a “Work in progress .. Entrepreneur, Adventurer, Author and Speaker.” …..Being a work in progress is a wonderful thing. It means you are never “finished” and always have the chance to improve yourself and become something and someone better than who you are already.
I am passionate about entrepreneurship and also sharing my experience with others through trainings, public speaking and social empowerment projects.

What's next for KEEXS...
Following the success of the KEEXS Crowdfunding project on Kickstarter, we have been featured on numerous platforms such as Origin Africa (Madagascar), The African Fashion Week Nigeria, Heineken Lagos Fashion Week, Thomson Reuters, eNCA news, TV5Monde, Ebony Life TV, South African Fashion Week and CNN African Voices, Forbes Africa.
Our vision at KEEXS is to become the most successful Innnovative, Social and African Inspired lifestyle brand in the world. In line with this, KEEXS is currently on a journey to scale her retail footprint in Nigeria and globally (with strategic touch points in South Africa , Kenya, United States, Europe and Japan).
We will be embarking on another round of fund to scale our operations and this time around we wish to leverage a larger crowd to join in a new round of Equity based Crowdfunding campaign.
